Dark Water (2005) A.K.A. “Bad Plumbing”

July 25th, 2005

Went to see this flick in the cinema and I want a refund! It really was a bit of a generic 2000s horror. Attempting to bring in a little of the “P” word into it and no that isn’t P for porn… sadly it was P for: psychological drama crap, nothing annoys me more than that. Did it dawn on some illiterate script writer one day to compose a film with the under-pinning theme to be based on a word that only the illiterates find difficult to spell? Or is it breaching the mental capacity of these plebeians to congeal a film about an unresearched scenario that takes their fancy?

If you want a film to go and laugh at… knock yourself out.

Sorry Alex, it sucked. I was often left waiting outside of school as a kid… yeah honestly. All through boarding school and most of secondary school I was left waiting until like 3-4 hours later than all the other kids. Maybe I missed something about the film that made it good.

speaking of “illiterate”, i told you it was a shit generic film. try reading and comprehending sometime, Neil, it can be ever so much fun!

Comprehension is so overrated, you know it too!

I never denied that you had told me it was generic, I’m merely saying that I can’t see how you can relate that film with your life as a child. Unless standing in the rain, waiting for you mum with a fat faceless old teachery woman going “What are we going to do about your mother?” rings bells for you.

well, i never told you much about my childhood and you more than likely don’t care, but it happened to remind me a lot of when my parents got divorced (minus the terrible dialogue and plumbing). also my mom’s mom is a pretty terrible person and essentially abandoned her children.
rationally it shouldn’t have made me cry though, it was probably pms or the psychotropic medication.

Poppycock! It was the the filming technique and the direction (or lack of) that made you cry.

    *pats*
    I understand.

Although not as bad as FearDotCom.

scooping your eyes out with a melon-baller wouldn’t be as bad as feardotcom.

What makes it worse is: http://fear.com/ has nothing to do with the film; it could of been quite a cult following if there were a website relating to the film or film title which in turn are both the same thing.
